Celebrity Cruises have built up a venerable reputation for very good food, with menus and service designed under the supervision of well-known restaurateur Michel Roux.
And nowhere on board
Constellation
will you find better proof of Michel Roux's culinary talents than in the superb Ocean Liners Restaurant. |
|
|
|
On each of the four Millennium-Class ship in the
Celebrity fleet, Michel Roux runs a different
culinary playground. These exclusive specialty restaurants
are modeled around remnants of famous
transatlantic ocean liners, ranging from the original wood
paneling of 1914
White Star Liner Olympic (sister ship to the
ill-fated Titanic) on Millennium to glass panels of the cool, 50s
flagship United States on Infinity. On Summit, guests are
taken back to the thirties in the Normandie
Restaurant. And finally, Constellation adds a touch
of Art Deco in her sensational Ocean Liners Restaurant. |

|
A marble lobby features several showcases with original
ocean liner artifacts, making this a mini maritime museum. Double doors lead to
a small cocktail lounge and the exquisite wine cellar (with 8-seat table
that can be reserved for an extra special occasion). The dining room itself is
decorated in a classic ocean liner style, with many beautiful paintings and
expertly showcased memorabilia. The Ocean Liner restaurant seats 180
guests and serves up a mouthwatering menu accompanied by
fine wines and top notch service. Such is the quality of
the food served here that guests seem more than willing to
pay the hefty supplement that is levied when you make
your reservations here. |
